Mary E. Roberts

Mary E. Roberts, 87, of Ripon, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024. She was born in the Town of Lamartine, on January 1, 1937, the daughter of Oscar C. and Hattie Pfeiffer. She was a graduate of Rosendale High School, Class of 1955. On October 26, 1957, she married Robert W. Sasada. She then married Marlo W. Roberts on July 25, 1981. She was a local operator at Fond du Lac Telephone Company, order clerk at Ala Rista, bookkeeper at Ripon Co-op. She also worked at Smuckers/R-Line Foods, and an operator at Bestt Roller where she retired. Mary’s passions were: traveling, gardening, sewing, family photography, reading, entertaining family, friends and neighbors, cooking and baking, music, and playing cards. She is survived by her two daughters: Linda Sasada-Francour and Sherry Simons (Wade Kaiser) of Ripon, her son James (Laurie) Sasada of Fairwater, her step-daughter Christine (Bruce) Zuelke of Oshkosh, her grandchildren: Jared (Alison) Sasada of Tomah and Kailie (Nathan) Heinz of Fairwater, her great-grandchild Brynleigh Heinz, two step-granddaughters, and one step-grandson, her sisters-in-law: LeMay Pfeiffer of Fond du Lac, and Rosie Pfeiffer of Waupun; one sister-niece Barb (George) Mattheis of Appleton, in-laws: Vern Roberts, Darrell (Sally) Roberts, Beverly (Mike) Gantner, Larry Roberts, and her life-long friend Marion Wittchow. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Robert W. Sasada and Marlo Roberts, Sr.; her daughter Katherine, her brother: PFC Ralph R. Pfeiffer, her sisters: Ruth Jahns, Lucille Blank, Janis Toll, Joan Rupple, her brothers: Donald Pfeiffer, and Robert Pfeiffer, numerous in-laws, her son-in-law Dave Francour, stepson Marlo Roberts Jr. VISITATION: The family will greet friends and relatives from 9:00 – 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church - Nekimi, 491 Old Oregon Road, Oshkosh, WI 54902. SERVICE: Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church – Nekimi. Inurnment will follow at Rogersville Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary’s name may be directed to St. John’s Church, Nekimi – Stained Glass Window Fund, 491 Old Oregon Road, Oshkosh, WI 54902.
