Arlene Rae Broehm

Arlene Rae Broehm, 89, of Fond du Lac, died late Thursday night, January 4, 2024, at The Manor. Arlene was born in Milwaukee on December 21, 1934, to Alfred Karl Tank and Margaret Ruth Tank (Worgull). She married Alvin Broehm on July 28, 1956, at Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Arlene’s past employment included teaching at Trinity Lutheran School, data entry at RTE, computer programmer at The Godfrey Company and payroll at UPS. After her retirement, she moved to Lake Camelot (town of Rome), Wisconsin. Arlene’s passion was her family, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved them all very much and they all loved her dearly. She loved playing games such as euchre, cribbage, bridge, Rummikub, Skip-bo, bingo and sheapshead. She also enjoyed bowling, camping, boating, and watching her Packers play. Survivors include her children: Karolyn Broehm, Kevin (Theresa) Broehm, Koreen (Dan) Dykas, Karl (Aew) Broehm, Kathryn (Greg) Mayer, and Kristopher (Holly) Broehm; 18 grandchildren: Al McClain, Kasi McClain, Ariel McClain, Donovan (Miyoung Yoon) McClain, Mark Broehm, Jessica Ramirez, Alicia Broehm, Deven (Sami) Adams, Derek Adams, Daelen Hartwig, Kahlea (Jeff) Walters, Raquel Broehm, Bhawramaett Punruckwong Broehm, Sean Bonow, Rachael (Michael) Villanueva, Sarah (Jake) Wagner, Trever (Baylee) Broehm, and Gavin Broehm; 15 great-grandchildren: Hayoon, Ari, Kaylee, Christiana, Jayden, Anthony, Charles, Lucas, Emelia, Evelyn, Eleanor, Sofia, Lily, Bradley, and Benjamin; brother Donald (Jan) Tank, niece Angela (Jeremy) Wang, grand-nieces: Lucy Jo, Edie and Rosie Wang. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin, one grandchild Luke, and sister Marilyn Tank. VISITATION: The family will greet friends and relatives from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 245 S. Second St. Oakfield, WI. SERVICE: Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, with Rev. Matthew Schwartz officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church & School. The family wishes to extend a “Thank you” to all the hospice aides and nurses who cared for Arlene. A special thanks to Kathryn and Greg Mayer, Koreen and Dan Dykas, Kris and Holly Broehm for their devoted care of our mother in their homes.
