Carol M. Vogt

Carol M. Vogt, 61, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2021, at St. Agnes Hospital. Carol was born on November 12, 1960, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Fuller) Day. She attended St. Joseph’s Grade School, was a graduate of Goodrich High School and graduated with honors from Lakeland Technical College, Cleveland, WI. On September 19, 2014, she married Edward A. Vogt. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2022. Carol worked for Anthem Blue Cross for many years, was a member of Eagles Aerie #270 Auxiliary for 20 years. She loved swimming, playing cards and a good game of bingo if she won. Get-togethers with family and friends were a highlight in her life. Carol will be dearly missed by her parents, Charles and Mary Day of Fond du Lac, her sisters: Christine (Scott) Ingalls and Catherine (Del) Smet. Carol was not blessed with children of her own, but felt her niece Nicole (Nick) Smet-Teel, nephews: Jake Smet, Alex and Adam Ingalls were hers to spoil. Also, she loved her Godfather Jerry (Esther) Day, Godmother Lois Davies, Aunt Grace Day, her good friends Demetra and Tom Nass, Cathy and Jeff Schaub, a whole bunch of cousins and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband. The family would like to thank doctors, and the many nurses for their wonderful care these last few months. We would also like to thank Deacon Dale and Fr. Ed for the visits and prayers during this time. VISITATION: The family will greet friends from 10:00 – 12:00 PM on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac. SERVICE: Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory, with Deacon Dale Paczkowski officiating. Inurnment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to a charity of your choice. Carol - I gave birth to you, but you didn’t come with instructions.
