Geraldine "Gerry" A. Bell

Geraldine A. “Gerry” (Bragg) Bell, 79, passed away June 7, 2021 surrounded by her family at St. Francis Home, where she had resided since December, 2019. She was born May 11, 1942, the daughter of Oliver and Ann (Failor) Bragg. On September 8, 1962 she married David Bell at St. Louis Church in Fond du Lac. Prior to her retirement in 1999, Gerry was an employee of Fond du Lac County for 27 years, ending her employment as Deputy County Clerk. Gerry enjoyed birdwatching, creating personalized greeting cards for family and friends, reading, and enjoying her grandchildren and their activities. She and Dave traveled around the country after their retirements, somehow always ending up at a casino with quarter slot machines. She treasured the time she spent with her lifelong friends. Most of all, Gerry loved being at the cabin with Dave and her family, having an Old Fashioned around the fire. Gerry is survived by her husband of nearly 59 years, David Bell of North Fond du Lac, son Mike (Sue) Bell of Neshkoro, and daughters Rhea (Ron) Behlke of Fond du Lac and Cheryl (Doug) Kuhel of Wolverine Lake, MI. She is further survived by her grandson David Behlke and granddaughter Katherine Behlke, godchildren, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and her close, second family the Wilbert and Lillian Kraus family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother Doris (Schibline) Bragg, brother Thomas Bragg, in-laws Fred and Julia Bell, sister-in-law Agnes Rickmeier and her husband Gene, aunts, uncles, one niece and cousins. VISITATION: Friends may call from 9:30 – 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Presentation Catholic Church of Holy Family Parish, 705 Michigan Avenue, North Fond du Lac. SERVICE: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Presentation Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Francis home for the devoted care they gave Gerry and her family, Sr. Julia and Fr. Adrian for their spiritual support, and the friends and family who kept in touch with Mom during her convalescence. Memorials may be directed to Holy Family Church or St. Francis Home.
