James "Jim" L. Marcoe

James “Jim/Boomer” L. Marcoe, 70, of Eldorado, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 27, 1953, in Fond du Lac, the son of James F. and LeMoine A. (Gilbertson) Marcoe. He was a graduate of Rosendale High School, Class of 1971. On October 29, 1982, he was united in marriage to Jean M. Francis. Jim worked for Alliant Energy/WP&L for nearly 40 years. He was a member of the Rosendale Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Eldorado Lions Club. He enjoyed deer hunting with friends, softball, and bowling. He liked to watch the Packers, Brewers, and professional wrestling on tv, and an occasional trip to the casino with friends. Jim took great pride in caring for his lawn and liked to watch the birds. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Jean, his daughter Erin (Justin) Bader and their children: Camdin, Beckitt and Preslie; his daughter Tori (Mitchell) Pollesch and their son Silas. He is further survived by his sisters: Diane Becker of Van Dyne, Nancy (Mike) Pfeifer of Fond du Lac, and Julie (Darrell) Fohr of Butternut; his brother Jody (Tanya) Marcoe of Oakfield; brothers-in-law: Dean (Jeanne) Francis of Fond du Lac, Jeff (Tina) Francis of Tomah, and Scot (Carol) Francis of Fond du Lac; his aunt Janet White of Fond du Lac, many nieces and nephews, and his very special “girlfriends” Deb and Nanny, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his father and mother-in-law: Joe and Rose Mary Francis, and brother-in-law Dennis Becker. VISITATION: The family will greet friends and relatives from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac. SERVICE: Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory. Inurnment will be at North Eldorado Cemetery.
