Madonna D. Peachy

On February 25, 2023, Madonna D. Peachy, 94, formerly of Eldorado and resident at Tower View Assisted Living in Rosendale, was called to rest to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born on May 9, 1928, in Fond du Lac, a daughter of Carl and Elizabeth Henning. On September 25, 1948, Madonna married the late William F. Peachy at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Eldorado. Together they farmed in the Town of Eldorado until 1978. In 1971, they opened Peachy’s Restaurant in Rosendale until selling in 1988. Madonna was well known to the community and loved to cook and used her talents to cater banquets for many of the area organizations, donated and served hot lunches to St. Peter’s School in Eldorado and prepared meals for the Builders of Christ. She also served as President of the Ladies Mission Society at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Eldorado and President of the VFW Post 10195 Ladies Auxiliary. Madonna was a faithful woman who loved the Lord and her church. Her greatest blessings were her children and grandchildren. She loved her yellow roses, traveling, riding the Harley and dancing the polka. She will be forever loved, missed and cherished by her seven children: Dave Peachy of Eldorado, Linda (Stan) Jahn of Fond du Lac, Gloria Frank (special friend Randy) of Marshfield, daughter in-law Susan Peachy of Arkansas, Craig (Lori) Peachy of Fond du Lac, Mark (Susie) Peachy of Eldorado, Brenda (Russ) Broderick of Eldorado, Sheila (Michael) Kucera of Fond du Lac; dear children Warren (Luanne) Frank and Cheryl (Scott) Feudner; 21 grandchildren: Tammy Hofstede, Randy (Tina) Frank, Tonya (Gary) Schneiter, Rev. Jay (Melissa) Bickelhaupt, Shelly Dietle, Steven Peachy, Jr., Stacy Peachy, Samantha Peachy, Craig Peachy Jr., Billie Joe (Kyle) Loehr, Mark (Leah) Peachy, Jr., Stephanie Peachy, Joseph Peachy (fiancé Erin), Devin (Amber) Jackson, Danielle (Nick) Almskis, Madonna Jo Challoner, Sarah (Seth) Freiberg, Lt. Tyler (Tina) Broderick, Amanda (Ignacio) Martinez, Jordon (Crystal) Pinch, Kaela Kucera; 36 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William F. Peachy, son Steven Peachy, one brother Arthur Henning, two sisters Joyce Dehring and Marjorie Olson, a son-in-law, Bill Bickelhaupt; two great grandchildren, Gavynn Schneiter and baby Jamie Frank. VISITATION: The family will greet friends from 10:00 – 12:00 PM, on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 1010 Adams Avenue, North Fond du Lac. SERVICE: Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, with Rev. Michael Kampman and Rev. Elijah Ehlert officiating. Lunch will be served after the service followed by the burial in the Rosendale Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the student aid fund at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, North Fond du Lac. Thank you to all the caregivers at Tower View Assisted Living and St. Croix Hospice for making Madonna’s last days in her journey special and comfortable and giving peace and support to the family. Special thank you to Chanel and Kim for all the hugs and kisses for making her feel she was truly home.
