Mark E. Putz

Mark Putz, 64, of Fond du Lac, went to his heavenly home on Monday, October 21, 2024. Mark was the first-born of Merlin and Elaine (Denney) Putz. He spent most of his childhood being raised in Crete, IL. He attended high school at Northwestern Preparatory School in Watertown, WI, where he met his future wife, Yvonne. They recently celebrated 43 years of marriage. They had two wonderful children, Ian and Hannah Putz, whom they raised in Waupun, WI. He attended two years at Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. He worked as a manager for McDonalds in the Fond du Lac and Milwaukee area prior to work for John Deere in Horicon for over 20 years. He served on various boards at both Grace Lutheran Church in Waupun and Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Schultz) Putz, his daughter Hannah Putz of Fond du Lac, his mother Elaine Putz of Oshkosh, his brothers: Mike (Sheryl) Putz of South Carolina and Marty (Lisa) Putz of Onalaska, WI; his sisters: Laurie (Bob) Tancula of Kentucky and Lynne Putz of Washington; his brothers-in-law: Carl Schultz of Hustisford and Paul (Brenda) Schultz of Lomira; his sisters-in-law: Chris Lohse of Fond du Lac, Sandy (Jim) Clemmerson of Sparta, WI and Diane (Harry) Christenson of Montana; many nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his son, Ian Putz, his father Merlin Putz, his father and mother-in-law Norbert and Joyce Schultz; his brother-in-law Dave Lohse, his sister-in-law Rosanne Schultz, his nephews: Brett Lohse and Adam Wood. VISITATION: The family will greet friends and relatives from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac, and from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 606 Forest Avenue, Fond du Lac. SERVICE: Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Rev. James Borgwardt and Rev. Chris Rathje officiating. Inurnment will take place at later date at Forest Mound Cemetery, Waupun. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the building funds for Winnebago Lutheran Academy and Redeemer Lutheran Church.
