Ora Caroline Sullivan

Ora Sullivan closed her eyes and peacefully went home with Jesus on August 16, 2009 at Our House Assisted Living in Neshkoro, WI, with family by her side. Ora was born on April 4, 1918, to Felix and Alma Rose Bisson Brisbois, in White Earth, Minnesota. Ora married Daniel D. Sullivan on May 12, 1933. Ora graduated from beauty school in Flandreau, South Dakota and worked at several beauty shops in Mahnomen, Minnesota. She later worked for 30 years at Wells Manufacturing in Fond du Lac, retiring on May 11, 1979. She had many interests and hobbies and loved spending time with friends and her many loved family members. For years, Ora enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, crocheting blankets, baking, cake decorating, traveling the country, and playing bingo. Welcoming her to Heaven included her parents, siblings, in-laws, husband, Daniel Sullivan, children: James Sullivan, John Sullivan, Kim Sullivan, and Rose Marie Mischo; and grandchildren: Karl Breister, Jr. and Carrie Sullivan.Ora had a special place in her heart for every family member and she will be lovingly watching over her sister, Leona Trautner of Roy Lake, MN; her brothers: Curt Pawlitschek of Erskine, MN and Robert Pawlitschek of Lengby, MN; her children: Sharon (Richard) Steele of Ripon, Daniel L. (Sandy) Sullivan of Fond du Lac, Jackie "Ora" (Wally) Allen of Neshkoro, and Laurie Sullivan of Neshkoro; her grandchildren: Karen (Les) Ballwanz, Krissy Breister, Kurt Breister, Keith Breister, Rick Steele, Linda (John) Moore, Julie (Mark) Seibel, Jim Sullivan, David (Gloria) Allen, Tracy Allen, Wanda (Marty) Birschbach, Vickie (Tom) Preissner, Dylan Sullivan, and Joni Voss. Ora also had 26 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, many loved nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.A Liturgy of the Word for Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2009, at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac, with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. The visitation will be on Thursday at church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
