Roger D. Jaber

Roger DuWayne Jaber, born July 29, 1946, passed away on June 24, 2026, at the age of 79. He was the beloved son of Nicholas Jaber and Dorothy “Gladys” (Elms) Jaber. On June 8, 1968, Roger was united in marriage to Gale Prasser, beginning a life together filled with family, faith, and lasting memories. Roger worked most of his life as a machinist in the Milwaukee area. He had a deep passion for the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved sharing that passion with the younger generations in his family, always taking time to teach them how to hunt, fish, and respect the outdoors. Known affectionately as “Grampy” to his grandchildren, Roger found great joy in the little ones in the family, who always brought a smile to his face. Roger had a sharp sense of humor and was known as a straight shooter—not only for his hunting ability, but also for his quick wit and honest way of speaking. He was a man of strong faith and was often found distributing communion at Sacred Heart Church. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Gladys Jaber; mother and father-in-law Frank and Emma Prasser and his brothers-in-law, Joe Develice and Donny Lefeber. He is survived by his loving wife, Gale Jaber; his sons, Jeff (Jill) Jaber and Scott (Sarah) Jaber; his grandchildren, AJ Jaber, Seth Jaber, and Maddie Jaber; bonus grandchildren, Jordan (Emily) Johnson and Nate Johnson; and great-granddaughter, Lainey Johnson. Roger is further survived by his sisters, Charmaine (John) Luczak, Barbara Develice, Christine Lefeber, Paulette (Gordy) Schneider, and LuAnn Hettenhaus; his brothers, Ralph Jaber and Bruce (Mary) Jaber; his brothers and sister-in-law, George Hettenhaus, Dave and Dianne Weber; and many nieces and nephews. Roger will be remembered for his faith, humor, honesty, love of family, and the many lessons he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday July 1, 2026; visitation from 9:00-11:00 with a mass to follow. A special Thank you to the Hospice Care Team and the Caregivers for the Manor at the Meadows.
