Thomas William Lemmon Jr.

Thomas William Lemmon, Jr., 74, of Fond du Lac, WI, was born into eternal rest on August 9, 2023. Thomas (Tom) William Lemmon, Jr. was born on August 26, 1948, to the late Thomas William Sr. and Carrie Ellen Goodman in Milwaukee, WI. Tom attended Pulaski High School, before enlisting in the U.S. Navy. He was a seaman on the USS Everglades and saw action in Vietnam as well as participated in many adventures across the globe. He was honorably discharged on April 25, 1972. During his time in the Naval Reserve, he obtained his certification in Production Welder Training and worked for many companies as an expert and talented welder. Tom enjoyed all Wisconsin sports. You could find him glued to the television cheering on the Packers or doing house projects while listening to the Brewers on the radio. As a loving father who touched the lives of many, Tom will be remembered for the way he went out of his way to help anyone. His kindness and goofiness made him a treasured presence in the lives of all who knew him. His legacy lives on through the countless memories his loved ones share with him and the love he bestowed upon us. He is survived by his loving ex-wife, Arleen Bakula Lemmon; daughters Casey Cathleen (Frederick II) Pellien, Kayla Kristine (Christopher) Johnson, and Kelly Kristine Lemmon; grandchildren Frederick III and Amelia Pellien, and Cillian Johnson, his brothers Patrick (Carol Owl Meyers), Christopher (Alisa Klenke), and sister Bridget; Sherry Lemmon, loving ex-sister-in-law; cousin Patty (Mike) Huebner; many nieces, nephews, brother and sister in-laws, as well as many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Daniel Lemmon, nephew Daniel Lemmon Jr., as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Tom’s brother Chris, Alisa, and Sherri for the companionship and care during the final months of his life. Additionally, the family wants to thank the staff at The Manor for their kindness and care of Tom as well as Nikki, Kylie, and Teresa from Promedica hospice. VISITATION & MEMORIAL SERVICE: The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until the time of Service at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, August 26, at Kurki Funeral Chapel, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac. BURIAL: Private family burial will take place on Monday, August 28, 2023, at Central WI Veterans Memorial Park, King, WI.
