Trisha M. Babler

Trisha Marie (Priebe) Babler, 59, of Van Dyne, was called home to her heavenly father, Thursday, August 10, 2023, at the Hospice Home of Hope surrounded by family after a long but strong fight with mesothelioma. Trish was born on May 5, 1964 to Thomas and Lois Priebe. Trish was confirmed on May 14, 1978 at St. Peters Lutheran Church of Fond du Lac. Trish was a graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy, Class of 1982. Trish married David Babler, on July 14, 1984, at St. Paul’s Lutheran in North Fond du Lac. Her life consisted of her faith, her family, her cats, and the Milwaukee Brewers, probably in that order. She loved everything Disney including cruises, Disney World, music, and movies. She thoroughly enjoyed the eight years she spent working with the people on the National Board of Lutheran Woman’s Missionary Society. She served four years on the communications committee and four years as the communications coordinator. Trish worked as an Administrative Assistant at Charter, Silver Star Brands, and most recently at Mercury Marine. Music was also important to her; she sang with the WLA Chorale (now the Joyful Witness) for several years alongside her mother and mother-in-law. Trish is survived by her husband, David Babler, children: Tyler Babler (Kelsey Marchek), Caroline (Jacob) Babler, and special “daughter” Georgia Kirby (Nick Williams). Her mother, Lois Priebe, her brother Steven (Sue) Priebe, her niece Madeleine (Casey) Lederer and nephews Miles Priebe, Ryan (Amber) Babler, and Travis (Jennifer) Cordes. Her brother-in-law, Dennis Babler, sister-in-law Susan (Terry) Anderson. She is preceded in death by father Thomas Priebe, father and mother-in-law Lyle and Joyce Babler, sister-in-law Vicki Babler. God did not give her a sister, so she was especially close to all her female cousins, Linda, Jewel, Marci, Gayle, Kay, Paula, and Vicki. Also, a special bond with her cousin Larry. She kept in contact with the Florida cousins, Tim (Tammy) and Traci (Timmy). Trish especially will be remembered for her unconditional love and joyous personality. Despite her life’s trials she always opened her doors for anyone who needed it and shined so much light into their lives. Some of the light has left the earthly world with her passing but there is a brighter light in heaven today. A special thank you to Dr. Jones, Dr. Kindler, St. Agnes Staff, and the staff at Hospice Home of Hope. VISITATION: The family will greet friends from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac and from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 1010 Adams Avenue, North Fond du Lac. SERVICE: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, with Rev. Elijah Ehlert and Rev. Michael Kampman officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Cemetery, Town of Forest. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church.
