Ada "Peg" H. Schave Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ada Hollis (Peg) Schave, aged 94, was called to her heavenly home on August 20 2021. She spent her first 17 years on the family farm before leaving to fulfill her dream to teach children. God provided for her when that seemed impossible. She graduated from Wood County Normal School in 1947. She taught two years in a one room school house before she married, and another two years before stepping away from teaching to become a stay-at-home Mom. Peg re-entered teaching in 1958. Continuing with evening and summer school, she graduated in 1962 from Marian College with a B.S. in Education. She completed her formal education by earning her Masters Degree in Education (Guidance) from UW Oshkosh in 1971. Her last teaching assignment was Rosenow School. She retired in 1986. Peg was an active member of Calvary Bible Church for many years. The highlight of her life was when she believed and trusted that Jesus Christ was both her Savior and Lord. She became an avid student of his word. "For by grace you have been saved through faith and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not the result of works, so no man may boast. Ephesians 2:8 Peg loved her family and looked forward to family gatherings. Her favorite pastime was reading, especially poetry. She enjoyed her ever-changing flower beds, music, camping, and putting puzzles together. Peg is survived by two daughters: Cindy Neitzel of Fond du Lac and Lisa (Jeff) Wallace of Brandon. Four grandchildren: Jason Trepanier, (Shaina), Christopher (Antonette) Neitzel, Alissa (Chad) Pinno, Amanda (Daniel) Lundt as well as eight great-grandchildren: Libby, Carissa, Mari, Brianna, Riley, Kendra, Hailey, Collin and one great-great-grandchild, Camille. She is also survived by four sisters; Gladys Karl, Doris Gardner, Edith (Jim) Fox, Rosalie Hamburg as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Harley and Bernice (Downer) Pigott, five sisters and three brothers. VISITATION: Friends may call from 10:00 – 11:30 AM, on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Calvary Bible Church, 70 East Pioneer Road, Fond du Lac. SERVICE: Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM, on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Calvary Bible Church, with Pastor Ken Kramer officiating. Burial will be held at Rienzi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Calvary Bible Church of Fond du Lac or Charis, 207 North Main St Fond du Lac. The family is grateful for all who cared for her during her time at St. Francis Terrace, including Hospice Hope.
