Amy J. Goltz (Fechhelm), 59, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at her residence. She was born on January 13, 1962, in Shawano, WI, the daughter of Robert J. and Sharon A. Burmeister Schlender. Amy went to NEW Lutheran High School and attended NWTC in Green Bay. Amy worked as a CNA at Eden Meadows in Oshkosh. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling to Branson each year with Phil. Amy loved to sing. She is survived by her children: Timothy (Melissa) Goltz of Little Suamico, Andrew Goltz and Adam Goltz both of Green Bay, two grandchildren: Autymn and Alayna, her parents: Robert and Sharon Schlender of Bonduel, WI, her brothers and sister: Robert (fiancé Sandy) Schlender of Green Bay, Ann (Gerald) Ferdon of Larimore, ND and Scott (Donna) Schlender of Green Bay; the love of her life Phil Fechhelm of Fond du Lac, Uncle Gary and Aunt Sandy Schlender of Prairie du Sac, WI, Phil’s family: Gene (Kay) Fechhelm of Williamsburg, VA, Sue DuQuaine of DePere, WI, Paul (Mary Beth) Fechhelm Charleston, SC and George (Connie) Fechhelm of Calumet, WI; and her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and her brother John, and her Aunt Laurel and Aunt Patsy. VISITATION: Friends may call on Monday, March 8, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac. Masks are required for those in attendance. SERVICE: Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, March 8, 2021, at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory. Entombment at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum will be held at a later date. There will be a Celebration of Life held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bonduel at a later date. Special thanks to the staff of Agnesian Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Amy and her family. Memorials in Amy’s name may be directed to Hospice Hope of Fond du Lac or a charity of one’s choice.
