Dawn M. Michels

Dawn M. Michels, 91, of Fond du Lac, died on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Maple Meadows. She was born on November 5, 1930, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Otis E. and Marguerite A. Hall Pasko. On September 22, 1951, she married Raymond L. Michels, in Crown Point, Indiana. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1996. Dawn worked for the State of Wisconsin from 1948 to 1962. Along with her husband, she managed Furniture Village located at Western and Main Street from 1971 to 1978. From 1978 until May of 1996, she worked as a receptionist at Mach Funeral Chapel. Dawn enjoyed going bowling, sewing, knitting and going for walks. She was affectionately nick-named “Duck Lady” as she loved feeding the ducks. Dawn loved her family and enjoyed going to sporting events with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son Timothy J. (Kaye) Michels of Fond du Lac, her granddaughter Trista (Rick) Bubolz, her grandson Trevor Michels, her great-grandsons: Breckin and Kayden Bubolz, her sister-in-law Ruth Pasko of Manchester, Iowa, her nephews: Kurt, Kent and Kerry Pasko. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray, her brother Rev. Jack O. Pasko, and her niece Peggy Pasko. VISITATION: The family will greet friends on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, from 3:30 – 6:30 PM at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac. SERVICE: Funeral services will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Kurki Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Kurt Pasko officiating. Private burial will be held at Rienzi Cemetery.
