Edward A. Vogt

Edward “Ed” “Nice Guy Ed” A. Vogt, 68, of Fond du Lac, died peacefully at home on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Ed was born June 22, 1953, in Fond du Lac, the son of Albert and Della Oakley Vogt. On September 19, 2014, he married Carol (Day) Markowski. He worked as a welder at Brenner Tank. He was proud of how his floors shined at Walmart while he was employed there. He was a member of Fond du Lac Eagles Aerie #270. Ed enjoyed scratching lottery tickets and loved playing cards. Ed will be lovingly remembered by his wife Carol Vogt, his children: Jessica (Chris) Bethel, Joshua (Lyn) Vogt and Gabriella Vogt; three grandchildren, one great-grandson; the mother of his children Peggy Krenn, his brother Richard Vogt; his aunt Ruby Gebhardt, his in-laws: Charles and Mary Day; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Chris (Scott) Ingalls and Cathie (Del) Smet, and his special friend Bob Norris. VISITATION: The family will greet guests from 3:00 - 5:00 PM on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac. SERVICE: Memorial services will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
