Eric J. Koenigs

Eric J. Koenigs, 44, of Fond du Lac, died on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at his residence. He was born on March 13, 1978, the son of Robert C. and Aileen M. Koenigs. He was a graduate of Chilton High School, Class of 1999. Eric was a Special Olympics athlete, who won medals in swimming events, bowling, track/field and bocce. He loved attending ARC Activities, especially their dances. He was an avid sports fan. He loved the Packers, Bucks, but especially the Milwaukee Brewers. He attended many games and went to Spring Training with his dad for 26 years, until COVID stopped travel. He LOVED going to work, when he was healthy, at Brooke Industries, Inc. and it gave him joy and purpose in his life. He is survived by his parents, Bob and Aileen Koenigs and extended family members and dear friends. Special thanks to the Froedert Hospital doctors and nurses, SSM Hospice, his special aunt and godfather, Jan and Mike Deitte, and many dear friends and family that have supported his family on his journey. Private family burial services will be held and a celebration of Eric’s wonderful life will be held at a later date.
