Mildred Priepke Simon age 96 of Rosendale died on Sunday July 3rd, 2022 at SSM Hospice Home of Hope. She was born September 6, 1925. daughter of Ferdinand and Louise Hagemann Priepke in the town of Lamartine. October 18, 1947, she married Ambrose Simon at St. John Church in Woodhull. He preceded her in death on September 14, 2006. Mildred and her husband owned a dairy farm in Eldorado. They moved to Rosendale after retiring in 1984. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale. She loved to crochet and made doilies, afghans and baby blankets for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren She is survived by 6 children – William and Ardell Simon of Eldorado, Joseph and Janell Simon of Van Dyne, Gregory and Nanci Simon of Fond du Lac, Elizabeth and John Benson of Waupun, Barbara and Scott Brandsma of Waupun, Raymond and Janae Simon of Eldorado, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survived by sisters-in-law Josephine Priepke, Athleen Simon and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, her husband Ambrose, two daughters Rita (Gil) Stoffel, Christine Simon and one son Vincent (Linda). Three sisters – Florence (George) Haase, Hazel (Louis) Uttendorfer and Alice (Donald) Belling, Seven brothers – Karl (Lorena), Henry, George (Verna), Vincent (Fern), Marvin, David and LeRoy. In-Laws Francis and Joan Simon, Ed and Elvira Dubberstein, Crescence and Oscar Marggi, Ralph and Natalie Basler, Robert and Dolores Simon, Cyril Simon and Alex Simon. VISITATION: The family will greet friends on Friday, July 8, 2022, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Peace Lutheran Church, 124 S. Main Steet, Rosendale Wisconsin. SERVICE: Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 8, 2022, at Peace Lutheran Church. Burial will take place at St. Mary Cemetery, Eldorado. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to SSM Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope or charity of one’s choice.
