Pauline C. Ronning

Pauline C. Ronning, 92, of Fond du Lac, died on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Eden Vista in Fond du Lac. She was born on September 1, 1929, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Joseph and Marie Hunke Eggers. On May 1, 1954, she married Earl A. Schaefer. He preceded her in death June 4, 1977. On December 26, 1980, she married Emil E. Ronning. Pauline was a member of St. Mary’s Church of Holy Family Parish. She worked at Wells Manufacturing for 26 years. Pauline enjoyed camping, needle point, crocheting, cooking, collecting cardinal statues and Siamese cats. She is survived by her husband Emil Ronning of Fond du Lac, her children: Keith (Connie) Schaefer and Karen Erickson both of Fond du Lac, her stepchildren: Mary (Mike) Feiereisen and Linda (Greg) Schimmel both of Fond du Lac, her grandchildren: Sean (Angie) Schaefer, Bryan Schaefer, Aaron Schaefer, Megan (Joshua) Orr, Alfred (Lakesha Brandon) Erickson and Leland Erickson; her great-grandchildren: Spencer, Jayden, Nova, Maverick and Marcine; and four step-grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings: Josephine Priepke, Anna Wells, Elaine (Don) Steger, Grace (Leo) Clark, Mary Hilbert, James (Gloria) Eggers, Arlene (Alfred) Wiese, her sister-in-law: Judy Kollman, and many other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Earl Schaefer, her step-children: Barb Flores and Thomas Ronning; her siblings: Patricia (Ed) Moses, Joseph Eggers Jr., Joyce (Harold) Schlefke, Gladys (Steve) Gotautis, David Eggers, Terrence Eggers, Michael Eggers, Christine Eggers and Kathryn (Larry) Zentner; her nephew Thomas Mielkie, and her brothers-in-law: David Priepke, Tom Wells, Larry Mielkie and James Hilbert. Special thanks to the staff at Eden Vista for the care and compassion shown to Pauline, Emil and family. Cremation has taken place. A Remembrance Service will be held at a later date.
