Ruth E. Will

Ruth “Ruthie” E. Will, 90, of Fond du Lac, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at St. Agnes Hospital, with her family by her side. She was born on November 12, 1933, in Dakota, Wisconsin, the daughter of Albert R. and Elsie A. Werner Scharf. On July 17, 1954, she married Clarence G. Will, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Eldorado. He preceded her in death on August 4, 1988. Ruth was a member of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Eldorado. She farmed with her husband, and worked at Morgan Doors as an assembler for over 20 years. In her spare time, Ruth enjoyed crocheting, was an avid photographer (known for making duplicate photos), gardening, and loved to talk and enjoyed company. She was a social and volunteer member of the Eagles Club for 40 years. Ruthie was someone who always had one, two, three, seventeen stories lined up for anyone who had an open ear. Most of all Ruthie loved her family and spending time with all of them. She is survived by her children: Darlene “Dolly” (Michael) Billington of Mayville, James (Cathy) Will of Van Dyne, Jeffrey (Renee) Will of Fond du Lac, Michael (Linda) Will of North Fond du Lac, Cynthia Gindt of Brownsville, Darwin (Jodi) Will of Fond du Lac and Evelina “Eve” Larson of Lomira; her grandchildren: Bridget Gehrt, Steve (Melissa) Abitz, Lacey (Justin) Wendorff, Lindsey (Cole) Zahn, Alex Will, Amy (Dan) Shapiro, Mike (Ashley) Will Jr., Bobbi Jo (Brian) Mand, Nicholas (Jennifer) Will, Nathan Will, Stephen Stahmann, Stan (friend Katie) Stahmann, and Scott (Bri) Stahmann; her great-grandchildren: Bailey and Ian Gehrt, Madeleine, Genevieve, Benjamin and Charles Abitz, Lincoln and Rylee Zahn, Jack Shapiro, Isabelle, Brianna and Sullivan Will, Isla, Cora, and Lewis Mand, Connor and Emma Will, Savannah, Vaeda, Chloe, and Diesel Stahmann. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Beverly Abitz, her son-in-law Gary Gindt, and sister Susan Werth. VISITATION: The family will greet friends and relatives from 9:00 AM – 12:00PM, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, N7987 Town Hall Road, Eldorado, WI. SERVICE: Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, with Rev. Zachary Semmann officiating. Burial to follow at Rosendale Cemetery. Special thanks to SSM St. Agnes staff for the care given to Ruthie, during her stay.
