AnnaBelle K. Loomans

In loving memory of AnnaBelle K. Loomans, age 89, of Fond du Lac, who passed away peacefully at the Hospice Home of Hope on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. With her loving family by her side. AnnaBelle was born in Kewaskum on April 11, 1936, to Harvey and Margaret Backhaus. She spent her formative years in the Oakfield and Waupun areas and attended Waupun Schools. On December 24, 1954, she married her high school sweetheart, Richard Loomans. The couple began their married life at Fort Benning near Columbus, Georgia, where Richard served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. Following their return to Waupun, AnnaBelle dedicated herself primarily to raising their six children as a homemaker. AnnaBelle and Richard enjoyed annual trips to Florida, visiting friends and spending time away from Wisconsin winters. She also took pleasure in crocheting, knitting, and quilting. She is survived by her children: Vicki Stoffel (Nick), Brian (Patti), Paul (Amy), David (Leonita), Bruce (Barb), and Mitch (Kim); grandchildren: Becky Westra (Jeremy), Sara Zeman (Phil), Lindsay Farley (Chris), Jason Loomans (Rachel), Holli Kropp (Peter), Paul Jr. Loomans (Libby), Eric Loomans (Lindy), Adrian Friese, Fulton Friese (Kaylee), Ashley Loomans, Samantha Stone (Dan), Brynna Loomans, Devin Loomans, Danny Loomans (Jason Dunning), and Sydney Loomans (Cristian Solano); and great-grandchildren: Maggie (Cobey Alderden) and Mason Westra, Gavin Zeman, Collin, Emma, and Jerrik Farley, Hannah and Tessa Loomans, Celly and Daxlee Loomans, Lettie Loomans, Olivia Stone, Wrenley and Waylon Friese, and Adalaid Kropp. Additional surviving family members include her sister Rita Wagner, brother Nic Backhaus, sister-in-law Joyce Backhaus, brother in-law Tom Loomans, sister in-laws Charmaine Loomans and Diane Loomans, and numerous nieces and nephews. AnnaBelle was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Richard; her parents; her brother Floyd Backhaus; her sister Alice Stautz; brothers-in-law Ray Towne, Jerome Stautz, and Ron Wagner; and her granddaughter Rachelle Loomans. In accordance with AnnaBelle’s wishes, a private family ceremony will be held. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Gardens in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. The family extends their gratitude to the staff of St. Agnes Hospital (6th floor), the Hospice Home of Hope, and Don Kurki of Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory.
