Ardine A. Hintz

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Ardine Alma Hintz (Weber), who went to be with our Lord and Savior. She passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, at age 93, with her family by her side. Ardine was a devoted member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was born to Norman and Olga Weber in Appleton. While living in North Fond du Lac, she met and married her high school sweetheart and soulmate, Elmer Hintz. On September 10, 2025, they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Ardine worked her whole life at various places, mostly as a bookkeeper and secretary. She worked full-time, even while raising five children. Ardine created a home filled with love and laughter. She is survived by three of her children, who will forever cherish her nurturing spirit and gentle guidance. Waiting for her in heaven were her parents, oldest son Jeffrey Hintz, daughter JoAnn Everson, and numerous beloved family members. Ardine is survived by her loving husband, Elmer; son Jerald (Nancy) Hintz; daughters Judy (David) Barnett and Jacalyn (Tony) Palmer; and one brother, Norman Weber. She was also blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ardine was everyone's biggest cheerleader. She went to every sports game, musical event, play, and concert she could. Starting with hubby Elmer, down to her great grandkids. There were moves along the way, but never too far out of the Fond du Lac area. Ardine had quite the green thumb. She found such joy in gardening. If there was a move, it didn’t take long, and she got to work on creating the most beautiful garden. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Her life was a testament to selfless love, as she always put others before herself. The greatest example of this was shown in her many years of volunteering, mainly through the Salvation Army. She believed so strongly in helping others that she enlisted many grandchildren throughout the years to help with the "Brown Bag" program and several Christmas programs. Ardine was a beloved soul who touched many lives and will be forever missed. She was a pillar of strength, a beacon of love, and the heart of our family. We can take comfort and rejoice in the promise of eternal life. A visitation will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1010 Adams Avenue, North Fond du Lac, WI 54937, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. A funeral service will take place immediately following, with Pastor Elijah Ehlert officiating. Cremation will take place with Ardine's burial at a later date at Ledgeview Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Violet Meadows, who loved and cared so much for Ardine during her stay and in her final days. You are truly angels here on earth.
