Daniel Lynch

Daniel Lynch, 75 of Fond du Lac died at Eden Vista memory care on May 21. He suffered a significant stroke before Christmas 2025. Dan was born on July 20, 1950 in Iowa City to Donald and Norma Ellingson Lynch. On August 25, he married Patty Lackas in Theresa. Dan lived in Fond du Lac most of his life. He graduated from Goodrich High School in 1968 and went to UW Fond du Lac as well as UW Madison, graduating in 1973 with a degree in Pharmacy. He was employed at St. Agnes Hospital as a pharmacist until retiring in 2015. Dan enjoyed playing golf, bike riding (when he was younger), playing games with family and friends. As a member of the Senior Center, he played cards and games, partipated in the uekele group as well as the carving group. Dan started to carve Santas, ornaments and other caricatures in the 80s taking carving classes to improve skills. He earned several first places in carving shows. He started bark carving and found that he really enjoyed it and did very well at it. One lucky godson will get all of the carvings. He is survived by his wife Patty, sister Jean (David) Domenget of Madison as well as sisters and brothers in law: Helen (Gary) Margelofsky of Mayville, Hertha Lackas of Theresa, Theresa (John) Phillips of Fairfax, VA., Kathy (Rick) Margelofsky of Mayville, Barb McDaniels of Oshkosh, Doris (Jim)Koenigs of Lomira, Ann Hoff of Lomira, Linda Lackas (Special friend, Mark Rochwite) of Campbellsport; Ron (Pam) Lackas of Theresa; 16 nieces and nephews; as well as a number of great-nieces and great-nephews; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law and two brothers-in-law Joe Lackas and Kelly McDaniels. Dan loved dogs and the three we had, Sassy, Nessie, and Molly all preceded him in death as well. A visitation/gathering for sharing funny stories about Dan will take place at Kurki Funeral Chapel, 31 E Division Street, Fond du Lac, on Thursday, May 28, between 5:00 PM to 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in honor of Dan to the Fond du Lac Police Department K9 unit, Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Department K9 unit, Sandi Paws, the Fond du Lac Humane Society or a charity of your choice. Special thanks to the kind care givers at Eden Brook, Eden Vista and Preceptor Home Health and Hospice. Cremation has taken place.
