Debra Mae Boelk

Debra M. (Jones) Boelk, age 69, passed away at home with family by her side on July 18, 2026. She was born on September 26, 1956, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Larry and Cecelia (Kennedy) Jones. She graduated from Winnebago Lutheran Academy. Debra went on to marry Dennis Boelk on June 5, 1976, at Faith Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. Debra was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church, maintaining her membership until her passing. She worked at Aurora Hospital, Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, and most recently worked as manager and cook for the Fond du Lac County Jail. Traveling was her passion. She enjoyed her road trips to Marco Island. Her favorite trips included going up north to her lake home in both summer and winter. She also loved to go on cruises and loved fishing. Closer to home she enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending her nights and weekends going to all her grandkids’ sporting events. Through her short cancer journey, she taught those around her what it looks like to live bravely and always with joy and a smile. She was known for her spunk, even until the end. Debra will forever be a bright, guided light to her family and loved ones. Debra is survived by her husband Dennis Boelk; children: Angela (Dan) Wiechman of Fond du Lac, Jami (Jeremy) Baranyk of Waukesha, Joshua (Lindsay) Boelk of Oakfield, Jacob (Tiffany) Boelk of Byron; grandchildren: Kyra (Nick) Karch, Kalli Wiechman, Karina Wiechman, Gavin Baranyk, Parker Baranyk, Ava Boelk, Lexi Boelk, Levi Boelk, Sophia Boelk, and Jackson Boelk; sisters: Kathy Faust, Chris (Mike) Mies, and Lori (Greg) Loehr; brothers: Peter (Beth) Jones, Dan (Jean) Jones, and Michael Jones; her mother Cecelia Jones; her mother in law: Sally Boelk. She is preceded in death by her father Larry Jones; brother in law: Jim Faust; father in law: Lowell Boelk. VISITATION: Family will greet friends and relatives from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Faith Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac. SERVICE: Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Faith Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac. Rev. David Haugly will officiate. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Faith Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac and/or Winnebago Lutheran Academy Building Fund.
