Donna M. Seibel

It pleased Almighty God to call unto Himself the soul of Donna Mae Seibel on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at her residence.Donna was born to Christian parents, LouVerne H. and Viola L.H. Gurath Kinkel on May 26, 1931, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. There she was received in the Kingdom of God by the washing of Holy Baptism, and confirmed in the faith of Christ Jesus in her youth.She graduated from Winnebago Lutheran Academy, Class of 1949.On December 26, 1952, Donna and Raymond A. Seibel were united in marriage at Faith Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac. This union was blessed with four children. A devoted wife, Donna assisted her husband in his teaching ministry at St. John’s Lutheran School, Maribel, Wisconsin, and Winnebago Lutheran Academy. During their time at Maribel, she taught at First German Ev. Lutheran Grade School in Manitowoc.During her 56 years of marriage, Donna was a faithful wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was graced by the Lord with a special gift of love for others. Her highest goal in life was to be a true homemaker. To help give her children a Christian education, she worked part-time at Ray E. Wood Floral. Her large circle of friends included her Scrabble buddies, Happy Birthday girls, and the Friday Night crew.Left to mourn their loved one, but not without hope, are her husband, Ray; her children: Andy (Debbie) Seibel, Becky (Jeff) Johnson, Dave (Jenni) Seibel; 12 grandchildren: Anthony, Phillip, Olivia, Evan, Alex, Catherine, and Andrew Seibel, Jessica, Scott, Mike, and Steven Johnson, Audrey Seibel; three great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law: Marv Seibel, Paul (Bonnie) Seibel; one sister-in-law, Grace Adams; together with nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Judith, and brother, Kenny.So it was her God-given grace to serve the Lord and people during her lifetime.A Christian funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, W2090 Highway 23, Mt. Calvary, with the Rev. Mark Barenz officiating. Burial will be at Ledgeview Memorial Park.The visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, and on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.Memorials may be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Winnebago Lutheran Academy.
