Elaine D. Meyer

Elaine D. Meyer, 79, of 410 Grove Street, Lomira, was called to her eternal life on Saturday, July 7, 2007, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.She was born August 31, 1927, in Ripon, a daughter of the late Paul and Mabel Albright Krueger. She attended school in the Ripon Public School District during the early part of her life and later attended Fond du Lac Senior High School and graduated in 1945.On April 24, 1948, Elaine married Roy W. Meyer at the Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. They lived in Lomira during all of their 59 years of marriage.Elaine was employed by Pure Milk Products Co-op after graduation from high school until her marriage and also served as secretary of the Church of Peace. Later she served as secretary of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lomira for sixteen years. She was also employed by the United States Postal Service in Lomira for twenty years as a clerk and retired in 1989. Elaine was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lomira. She volunteered her time as a Girl Scout and Boy Scout Leader. She was also involved in Music Parents of Lomira. She ministered to others by sending countless cards to both her family members and friends throughout her life. Her cards will be cherished forever. Elaine and her husband enjoyed traveling and going to music events. Above all else, they enjoyed their family.She is survived by her husband, Roy Meyer; two sons: Gerry (Cheryl) Meyer of Brownsville, and their children: Brian and Robert Meyer of Brownsville, and Tracy (Tristan) Kysely of Madison; Ronald (Mary) Meyer of Plymouth and their children: Laura (Stephen) Grismore of Plymouth, and their children: Emily, Andrew, Julia, and Isaac Grismore; Nathaniel (April) Meyer of Sheboygan, and their children: Ella, Aria, and Elise Meyer; Daniel (Stacey) Meyer of Plymouth and their children: Chloe and Owen Meyer; a sister, Paulette Kornmann of Menomonee Falls. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.She was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Krueger, a granddaughter, Sarah Meyer, and a grandson, Eric Meyer; a step-mother, Jeanette Pfenning; two brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law; aunts, uncles, and cousins.The funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 300 Church Street, Lomira, with Rev. John Hobbins officiating. The visitation will be on Wednesday at church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery, Lomira.
