Joy S. Nolan

Joy S. Nolan, 82, entered the gates of heaven with her family by her side on December 31, 2022. Joy was born on February 8, 1940, in Melrose, Illinois to Harold and Lenora Clark. She later moved and began her life in Oakfield WI. She was a graduate of Oakfield High School, Class of 1958. She then married the love of her life, Ronald M. Nolan, on July 19, 1958, in Fond du Lac. There was nothing that Ron and Joy didn’t do together, they were inseparable. From raising six children, to running and operating Wild Wings Hunting and Fishing Preserve, they demonstrated the meaning of true love and partnership for life. She was extremely dedicated to everything she did! She had a love and passion for animals, rescuing and opening her heart to anything that needed it! She kept up, and juggled it all, while maintaining a smile and endless enthusiasm for life. She put family Christmas and gatherings together, with such passion, the memory and sight of it will never leave our minds. She had the ability to talk you through anything that life handed you. With God as her best friend and mentor, there is nothing you cannot overcome and learn from. Like Jesus, she was the glue that held everyone, and everything together. She strived to pull family together, when life and times got tough. She saw life through the eyes of Jesus, and taught her family and friends about true love, forgiveness, and compassion. There was nothing that could change her love for anyone or anything in her life. Her kids, grandkids, and great grandchildren brought the biggest smile to her heart of all! Even in the later years of her illness. She always called, reached out, left the most heartfelt messages about how much she loved us. She lived for her family, and was the most selfless woman. Anything she could give to help, or do- she gave it her all. She will forever be in all of our hearts, and missed until eternity reunites us all! She is survived by her husband of 64 years Ron Nolan, her children: Tim (Julie) Nolan, Joe (Cheryl) Nolan, Kelly Nolan, Holly (Trent) Walker and Patrick Nolan, 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, her brother Darrel Clark, and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Daniel Nolan and her grandchildren Christopher Rochwite and Shayla Eiring, her siblings: Harold Clark Jr, Vivian LaVigne, Duane Clark, Larece Nykaza and Morris Clark. VISITATION: The family will greet friends from 11:00 – 2:00 PM, on Saturday, January 21, 2023. at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac. SERVICE: Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2023. at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory, with Rev. Norman Leatherwood officiating. A Celebration of Joy’s Life will take place after the service until 6:00 PM at Radisson Inn of Fond du Lac.
